We’ve just launched Carroll Diagrams – Odd and Even which is an interactive game designed for 6 to 9 year olds. Not only is it a useful resource to help in the understanding Carroll Diagrams but it can also reinforce the concepts of odd and even numbers, more or less than a given number and also place value.
The resource has four levels, each of which requires users to sort by two criteria. The first two levels involve Odd and Even numbers and more or less than a number up to 10 or 99 respectively. There is an excellent level of challenge as the criteria vary from game to game. The resource also works well on interactive whiteboards for class demonstrations and on desktop and tablet devices.
The next two levels also involve odd and even numbers but the second criteria requires a knowledge of place value, as users need to identify ones, tens and hundreds values.
